Dallas, Texas (October 26, 2009)—On October 29, 2009, a new 28,000 square foot Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH store will open in Park Lane, a 33.5-acre mixed-use development located in Dallas that sits across from NorthPark Center, one of the nation’s most prominent shopping malls. To kick off the grand opening weekend, the store is bringing to life the excitement and trends of Fashion Week, beginning with a private preview party on October 28, offering VIP guests exclusive access to the latest merchandise. That evening, partygoers will also have the opportunity to enter in a raffle to win an instant $500 shopping spree. The fun continues all weekend long - shoppers can enjoy extra savings, an exclusive fine jewelry trunk show and will receive a signature Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH tote bag with purchases over $100. Shoppers will have the chance to win prizes throughout the weekend, beginning with a $1,000 shopping spree which will be raffled off at 12 pm on October 29 and one handbag will be raffled off each day on October 30, October 31 and November 1.

Bailey's Prime Plus Announces Culinary Team For New Park Lane Restaurant

Dallas restaurateur Ed Bailey today announced the culinary team for his Bailey’s Prime Plus restaurant set to open in mid-September in the new Park Lane development across Central Expressway from Northpark.
Bailey has named Israel Voirin and Christopher Meier as Co-Executive Chefs for the exciting, new 12,000 square foot restaurant. Both will work closely with Corporate Executive Chef Oona Settembre who oversees culinary operations for all of Bailey’s restaurants.
Israel “Izzy” Voirin joins Bailey’s Prime Plus after more than two years as Executive Chef at Nick & Sam’s in Dallas and Christopher Meier joins the Bailey’s team after five years with Capital Grille in Dallas, the last year and a half as Executive Chef.
The post of Sommelier will be filled by Jeffrey Ivy who joins Bailey’s after a long career in Dallas most recently as Beverage Director at Cool River and previously as Sommelier at Pappas Brothers Steakhouse in Dallas. Jeff is a Certified Sommelier/Court of Master Sommeliers; Certified Specialist of Wine/Society of Wine Educators; and Top Texas Sommeliers/ Texas Sommelier Competition. He has also received the Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator Magazine six different times.

Bailey’s Prime Plus will be located at 8160 Park Lane and is scheduled to open in mid-September.

Harvest Partners, the Dallas-based developer of Park Lane, Dallas’ newest and largest mixed use development, announced that shopping will begin on March 19, as the first stores open at this Midtown location. Nordstrom Rack will lead the way on March 19, followed by Dick’s Sporting Goods and Lane Bryant/Cacique on April 3, and The Children’s Place on April 24. Park Lane will provide the Dallas flagship locations for all of these well-known brands.
